This book is one of Ms. Meyer's best if not the best, if you are needing emotional healing for a plethora of reasons. There are 23 chapters such as "God Wants The Wounded," "Hurting People Hurt People," "Unload The Guilt and Shame," and "You Are God's Beloved." She is able to draw wisdom from experiences of abuse in her childhood, that she has spent years receiving healing from God, herself, and shares very animatedly for the reader to glean understanding for herself or himself. Although written for women I could see men getting help from this book as well. She writes of ways you can become wounded such as infidelity, physical, emotional, and mental battery, divorce, rejection, betrayal, struggles with weight, victim of a crime, prejudice, death of a child or spouse, inability to have children, long-term illness and more. She stresses that any of these wounds can be healed and redeemed by God, given time with God through study of the Word, prayer, and worship. She goes on to assure us that God has a good plan for our lives, that we are daughters of the King with an inheritance He longs to give us.
